VIP Systems, Inc. in Houston is seeking a senior security systems engineer to lead programming, integration and commissioning across access control, VMS, intercom, LPR, parking and related systems.

You will verify readiness, run tests, document results and mentor field teams while communicating findings to customers and management. Travel across Texas is required; a strong IP networking background is essential.

Formación

• 7+ years of commercial low-voltage or electronic security experience, including advanced troubleshooting, programming and commissioning.
• Strong proficiency with at least two major commercial security platforms.
• Advanced IP networking knowledge: VLANs, PoE, routing, firewalls, ports/protocols and multicast.
• Ability to read drawings, risers, schematics, network diagrams and specifications.
• Strong documentation habits and proven ability to lead and mentor field teams.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel throughout Texas, and ability to obtain any required Texas electronic-security registration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead programming, integration and commissioning of access control, VMS, intercom, LPR, parking/gate and related systems.
• Verify system readiness before startup: cabling, power, network, panels, addressing and firmware.
• Run commissioning plans, functional and failover tests, acceptance procedures and customer demos.
• Diagnose difficult or recurring service issues to root cause, working with Engineering and manufacturer support.
• Own closeout quality: redlines, test results, programming records, backups, licenses and credentials.
• Mentor technicians and installers, and give field teams clear technical direction.
• Communicate findings, risks and recommendations clearly to customers, Project Management and leadership.
