TradeSTAR, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Access Control Installer to lead and coordinate installation activities for commercial security projects across Texas.

You will install, program, test, and troubleshoot IP-based access control systems, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure flawless execution. You will mentor technicians, coordinate with project managers and customers, and perform system commissioning and customer demonstrations while maintaining thorough documentation and safety

What You ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate daily installation activities for commercial access control and integrated security projects.
• Install, terminate, program, test, and troubleshoot electronic access control systems.
• Work with card readers, control panels, electronic strikes, magnetic locks, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, and power supplies.
• Configure and troubleshoot IP-based access control hardware, controllers, and network-connected devices.
• Install and integrate access control systems with CCTV, intrusion detection, and other electronic security technologies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical specifications.
• Direct and mentor installation technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and efficient project execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and customer representatives to maintain project schedules.
• Perform system commissioning, functional testing, and customer demonstrations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, installation records, and material requirements.
• Ensure installations meet applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards.

What You Bring to the Table

• 3 5+ years of commercial access control installation experience, including experience leading technicians or projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electronic security systems and low-voltage installation practices.
• Hands-on experience installing and configuring access control systems such as LenelS2, Software House, Genetec, AMAG, Brivo, RS2, or similar platforms.
• Experience coordinating crews, assigning tasks, and maintaining installation quality.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues independently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
