Job summary

The NBA seeks a Broadcast Technology Innovation Manager, Local Media to translate strategy into scalable localized broadcast capabilities for NBA and WNBA Local Media. You will work closely with the Broadcast Event & Innovation Lead and cross-functional teams to pilot, implement, and scale new production concepts that enhance fan experiences while maintaining operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Broadcast Production, Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast production, production technology, media operations, live sports production, or a related field.
• Experience researching, evaluating, piloting, and/or implementing new broadcast technologies and production workflows.
• Experience developing new production concepts, broadcast experiences, or technology-enabled content offerings.
• Experience supporting complex cross-functional initiatives from concept development through implementation.
• Experience working with broadcast technology vendors and external partners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Broadcast Innovation & Localization: Partner with GPM Broadcast Strategy to translate strategies into localized applications.
• Identify opportunities to create differentiated, localized game broadcasts reflecting market needs.
• Develop concepts and use cases for localized offerings using graphics, data, automation, and emerging tech.
• Develop and evolve the Local Media innovation roadmap with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Local Media production and content teams to balance localization with efficiency.
• Lead implementation of priority broadcast innovation initiatives from concept to production.
• Coordinate proofs of concept, pilots, and live production trials to assess value.
• Track innovation initiatives, risks, and outcomes with regular updates.
