Job Summary

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Team leaders are assigned multiple tasks within the load building process. They are proficient and responsible for training others to excel in their performance. Quality standards are explained and reviewed with production employees.
  • Work closely with management to coordinate production flow. May assume multiple tasks based on current needs.
  • Become familiar with load sheets (by route, by day) and build loads one day ahead, following load building guidance.
  • Load products in order according to weight, size, type, and other specifications.
  • Identify and segregate mats that do not meet quality requirements (stains, tears, holes, wetness).
  • Monitor merchandise for quality standards.
  • Operate carts safely, maneuvering full and empty carts, and observe safety standards for carts weighing 50 lbs. or more.
  • Report shortages every two to four increments as per market center reporting process.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, observing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following the production plan.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Work may include weekends and overtime as needed.
Working Environment/Safety Requirements

Work is performed in a warehouse setting, exposed to outside weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs frequently and maneuver carts weighing up to 300 lbs. Requires bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, and standing for long periods.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
