Cerence AI is seeking a Principal Research Developer, LLM to architect and implement advanced generative AI solutions for transportation experiences. You will design dialog‑oriented architectures, and optimize LLMs for accuracy, speed, and robustness across devices and platforms.

Bring a PhD in a related field, strong Python skills, and a track record of building and deploying LLM-based systems. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience developing large language models and integrating with dialog/ASR/TTS systems.
• Strong Python programming and ML algorithm implementation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design architectures using state‑of‑the‑art generative AI models for dialog and related domains.
• Optimize LLMs via prompting or fine‑tuning for accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to deliver customized LLM solutions.
• Research and enhance models to perform efficiently on resource-constrained platforms.
• Stay updated on advances in generative AI, dialog, and language modeling.
