Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a capable Linux and OpenShift Patch Management Engineer to lead patching and vulnerability remediation across Linux servers and OpenShift clusters in Jersey City, NJ.

You will own end-to-end patch lifecycle, contribute to automation, and collaborate with security and platform teams. Responsibilities include patch deployments, health checks, compliance validation, and governance reporting, with strong emphasis on automation and process improvement in a large-scale

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Linux Infrastructure Administration and OpenShift Platform Administration.
• Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation in enterprise environments.
• Strong automation scripting with Bash and Python; Ansible experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, emergency, and zero-day patch deployments for Linux servers and OpenShift clusters.
• Identify, assess, test, validate, and deploy security and infrastructure patches.
• Perform pre- and post-patch health checks, compliance validation, troubleshooting, and rollback.
• Manage patch deployment schedules and remediation tracking.
• Drive Change Management and coordinate with security, infra, and teams.
• Produce patch compliance reports and dashboards.
