Job summary

Ampcus Inc. seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to deploy and manage OpenShift-based environments in Jersey City, NJ. You will handle Kubernetes, Ceph storage integration, and OpenStack components to ensure high availability and seamless virtualization through KubeVirt and KVM.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, helm-based deployments, and IaC-driven configuration, with experience across VMware ESXi, vRealize, Nutanix, and NSX-T highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying OpenShift and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Administration and automation of Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters.
• Experience with Ceph storage and OpenStack integration.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization (KVM) and KubeVirt.
• Familiarity with Helm charts and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage OpenShift environments for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement and upgrade Ceph environments to latest production code releases.
• Integrate Kubernetes with Ceph object storage for S3-compatible services.
• Automate VM migrations into OpenStack using KubeVirt and KVM.

• BareMetal installs.
• K8 networking
• Storage CSI.
• Performance testing of OpenShift environments:
  • helm chart; use helm to deploy any of our performance testing suites.
• Deploy and manage OpenShift environments to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement and upgrade Ceph environments to the latest production code releases.
• Integrate Kubernetes with Ceph object storage to provide S3-compatible storage services for cloud-native applications.
• Automate the migration of virtual machines into OpenStack environments using KubeVirt and KVM.
• Manage KVM-based virtual machines within KubeVirt to ensure efficient virtualization and seamless integration with OpenStack clusters.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for OpenStack environments.
• OpenShift Operators.

Additional Skills:
