Job description

Frothy Monkey is hiring an AM Kitchen Line Lead for our Nations location in West Nashville! This is a full-time position with benefits. We are looking for a skilled back of house leader with experience managing high-volume kitchens focused on breakfast and lunch, using fresh, quality ingredients to prepare original food and drinks in a cozy, approachable atmosphere. Our goal is to provide an exceptional breakfast through dinner experience, 7 days a week, 363 days a year, with catering support also included.

Within 90 days of hire, all full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, and HSA benefits. After 60 days, this position will be eligible for paid parking.

They should possess strong leadership skills, experience managing high-volume kitchens with scratch cooking, excellent organizational skills, and knowledge of health code and FDA regulations. Job Responsibilities
  1. Leadership
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers
    • Maintain respectful tone and attitude
    • Provide constructive criticism
  2. Training
    • Work and train on all stations
  3. Execution
    • Set up the line, oversee presentation, and ensure consistency
    • Identify prep needs to prevent 86ing items
    • Coach staff on urgency and proper procedures
    • Communicate with FOH staff regarding tickets and 86s
    • Conduct line checks and manage ordering according to pars and COGS
  4. Food Safety
    • Be ServSafe Certified or willing to become certified
    • Maintain logs for taste, temperature, and cooling
    • Monitor dishwashers and ensure FIFO
    • Follow proper thawing, cooking temps, and handwashing protocols
  5. Cleaning and Stocking
    • Monitor and address issues with management
    • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and floors
    • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures
