What You'll Do
  • Exemplify MCR’s values and demonstrate excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
  • Produce quality products daily with a strong work ethic.
  • Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment.
  • Measure ingredients accurately using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
  • Ensure proper presentation, appeal, and freshness of products.
  • Maintain attention to detail in taste and quality.
  • Test food for doneness using tasting, smelling, or piercing methods.
  • Assign tasks to staff in the absence of the Sous Chef.
  • Produce food in a cost-effective and hygienic manner.
  • Strive to improve operating procedures.
  • Label and date all products for rotation, safekeeping, and sanitation.
  • Ensure food quality and correct irregularities.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment properly.
  • Work within sanitation standards and comply with regulations.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
  • May conduct inventory and check received products in the absence of a Sous Chef.
  • Create a positive work environment and promote team relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
  • 2 years of certification from an accredited culinary program or 4 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Valid WA State Health Card/Food Handler permit.
  • Serve Safe Certification preferred.
What To Expect
  • Availability to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.
  • Physical ability to maneuver in all casino areas, lift at least 25 lbs, and perform prolonged standing, walking, and other tasks.
  • Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working.
