Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago’s Olive-Harvey College is seeking a Head Lifeguard – Part-Time to supervise lifeguards, oversee water surveillance and enforce swimming rules, ensuring safe patron experiences.

The role requires a High School Diploma and American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certification, plus prior lifeguard or swim instruction experience. This is a part-time union position with flexible hours, paid at $17.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid Certification preferred.
• Experience as lifeguard or swim instructor.

Responsibilities

• Supervises lifeguards on duty and schedules hours.
• Maintains water surveillance and enforces swimming rules.
• Assists Aquatics Director with hiring lifeguards.
• Provides rapid response in emergencies and basic first aid.
