Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a Lead Lifeguard & Recreation Assistant for our Marysville, OH site. This full-time role supports a safe, welcoming aquatic environment with morning to early evening shifts, Monday through Saturday.

In this role you will supervise patrons, enforce rules, handle emergencies, and assist with programming and events, all while maintaining professional conduct and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of the member management system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for two bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Assist Aquatics Coordinator with programming, training lifeguards, and scheduling.
• Maintain the Aquatics Facility to ensure a safe environment for members.
• Assist with set-up/tear down of local events and scorekeeping.
