Qualifications

• Familiarity with 3D laser scanning, inertial navigation, GPS data collection, and data post-processing techniques.
• Familiarity with UAV/drone operations and regulations/FAA Part 107; strong knowledge of geospatial data formats.
• Strong knowledge of datums and coordinate systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving/analytical skills.
• Willing to travel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end LiDAR surveys and processing for trajectory-based systems.
• Conduct QA/QC in accordance with project specs and industry standards.
• Develop and refine internal LiDAR processing standards and best practices.
• Perform classification, filtering, and feature extraction from point clouds.
• Generate and validate deliverables including DTMs and 3D models.
• Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and GIS professionals to support project needs.
• Assist with project scoping, scheduling, and technical proposals.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical oversight.
