Job summary

Generator Supercenter is seeking a Licensed Electrician to lead electrical installations for standby generator systems across our growing client base in Wheeling, IL and surrounding areas. The role starts on-site with installations and progresses into a supervisory position overseeing electricians and apprentices.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid IL electrician license, have Master Electrician experience or similar senior role, and demonstrate leadership, safety, and reliable workmanship.

Qualifications

• Valid IL electrician license required.
• Experience as Master Electrician or senior role.
• Ability to train and lead electricians and apprentices.
• Strong safety and quality workmanship focus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors/in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install standby generators and ATS.
• Lead on-site install teams and supervise apprentices.
• Ensure NEC/state/local code compliance.
• Interpret drawings and project plans.
• Pull permits and manage inspections.
• Maintain documentation and site records.
• Collaborate with sales for accurate quoting.
