Job summary

Colt Services Llc in Wyandotte, MI is seeking a Lead Technician for Leak Repair to safely detect, locate, evaluate and repair leaks at client sites. You will supervise and train technicians, promote safety and quality, and support customer relations within an assigned geographic area.

The role requires 2+ years of leak repair experience, a valid driver's license, and OSHA 10/30 certifications. Travel to multiple sites and on-call duties are expected as part of this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or Trade school or related education preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with on-line leak repair.
• Must be able to pass routine and random drug screening.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Must understand, speak, and write English.
• Ability to prioritize and complete work by deadlines.
• Knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications obtained or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices.
• Assesses leaking components and reports findings to operations, engineering and customer reps.
• Performs leak repair operations using various techniques and tools.
• Maintain on call status and travel to address customer emergencies on site.
• Inspect leak repair device for quality control prior to installation.
• Communicates with field personnel, client representatives and management to complete projects.
• Be willing to assist with sales functions within the territory.
