Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm (HHSC) in Abilene is seeking a Laundry Technician III to oversee the safe operation of commercial laundry equipment and supervise the Laundry Worker I & II staff. The role includes planning, scheduling, and ensuring efficient processing of linens in a large facility.

The position requires hands-on expertise with CBW systems and industrial washers/dryers, plus the ability to train others and maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial laundry operations preferred.
• Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is preferred.
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license or obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe operation of commercial laundry equipment and supervise daily laundry tasks.
• Train and guide Laundry Worker I & II to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
• Record weights, monitor CBW and dryer operations, and ensure proper startup/shutdown procedures.
