X-Bow Systems in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Launch Vehicle Chief Engineer with a decade of leadership to guide our propulsion and flight programs from design through operations.

You will chair technical reviews, lead diverse engineering teams, ensure safety and mission integrity, and mentor talent while partnering with program management to deliver innovative space propulsion solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive aerospace/defense engineering experience.
• Deep technical understanding of launch vehicle systems and performance analysis.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams on complex programs.
• Experience with orbital, sub-orbital, or tactical vehicle programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal technical authority for launch vehicle development and flight operations.
• Lead design trades, risk assessments, and major program milestones.
• Oversee trajectory design, mission planning, and anomaly investigations.
• Mentor engineering talent and collaborate with program management on technical plans.
