Job summary

Molex is looking for a Principal Laser Component Engineer in Fremont, California. In this role, you will propose and source components for advanced optoelectronic packages, ensuring they meet stringent reliability requirements. You will collaborate closely with R&D and product design teams.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant R&D experience. The expected salary is between $150,000 and $250,000 per year, with variable pay in the form of a bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of R&D experience with optical and mechanical components.
• Hands-on experience with components for high thermal power density.
• Familiar with New Product Introduction methodology.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to source components for advanced photonic packages.
• Design components such as TEC, housing, and lenses.
• Support supplier selection with technology assessments.
