Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Rio Verde, AZ, is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Foreman to manage the upkeep of community landscapes under supervision. This mid‑level role oversees crews, ensures safe operation of equipment, and coordinates tasks for daily and event-driven needs.

The position requires 2–4 years of landscape maintenance and supervisory experience, with proficiency in plant knowledge, pruning, irrigation, and English/Spanish bilingual ability a plus.

Qualifications

• Two to four years’ experience with landscape maintenance and supervisory experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of landscape maintenance with plant health and water needs.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of trimming and pruning practices and Sustainable Landscape Management standards.
• Ability to operate standard power and manual yard care equipment and teach safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals.
• Identify plants and assess plant stress/health.
• Perform upkeep and manicuring of landscaped areas and hardscapes.
• Follow directions under the supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
• Supervise Laborers and Crew Leaders and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Cooperate and assist team members to complete daily tasks.
• Work safely and use all personal protective equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions and equipment issues to supervisor.
• Supervise vehicle refueling and material loading for the next day.
• Complete daily/weekly logs and repair reports; review end-of-day tasks with supervisor.
• Occasionally work overtime or weekends for special events.
• Other duties may be assigned.
