gpac is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead survey crews, manage projects, and maintain strong client relationships in Columbus, OH. You will prepare and review boundary surveys, legal descriptions, and construction calculations, while ensuring accuracy through CAD data handling.

• Must have 2+ years of experience in land surveying (residential and commercial preferred).
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or ability to obtain licensure quickly.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and field instrumentation.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Expertise in construction calculations, documentation, and project management.
• Detail-oriented with a client-focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review survey documents including boundary surveys, legal descriptions, and construction calculations.
• Research and produce sealed survey documents such as Right-of-Way maps, easements, and other materials.
• Enter, compute, and verify field data using CAD to ensure accuracy.
• Lead and motivate survey crews, drafting technicians, and project teams.
• Oversee field survey work including property line establishment, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Interact with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project success from start to finish.
• Solve complex surveying challenges and contribute to high-profile projects.
• Represent the firm positively, upholding quality and excellence.
