Job summary

DTK Site Solutions is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor in Ohio to collect and analyze property data, support growth, and lead surveying projects. You will collaborate with project leaders to plan surveys, develop data collection methods, and manage staff.

The candidate will work with AutoCAD, Carlson, BIM, GPS and 3D laser scanning tools to create accurate land maps and legal descriptions, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Travel up to 4–5 hours from HQ.

Qualifications

• Licensed in OH or IN or willing to obtain license in either state
• Professional Land Surveying/Geomatics experience or related degree
• Strong knowledge of surveying technology, principles, techniques and practices
• Working knowledge of safety precautions in the industry
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Carlson, BIM, GPS and robotic total stations
• Experience with 3D laser scanners and aerial photogrammetry is a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 4–5 hours from HQ (overnight stays not usually required)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project leaders to plan and schedule survey projects
• Identify survey goals and determine survey methodologies
• Develop questionnaires to gather relevant survey data
• Maintain, test and calibrate equipment and instruments
• Supervise survey administration ensuring timely completion
• Select, train and evaluate survey staff members
• Analyze historical land records and maps for survey specifications
• Prepare detailed survey and progress reports for management
• Perform quality control checks and identify data anomalies
• Stay updated with industry trends, techniques and regulations
• Create 3D land maps using Trimble/Carlson/Autodesk tools
• Plot official property boundaries and draft legal descriptions and easements
