Job summary

Tufts University seeks a Supervisor for the Comparative Medicine Services (CMS) animal facilities. You will manage daily operations of cagewashers, tunnelwashers, autoclaves, and vacuum systems, while supervising 16–21 animal care staff and supporting policy implementation.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs, providing training, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating on-call coverage. Remote work is available one day per week depending on workload.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus 1–3 years supervisory experience in a research support env.
• LAT or LATG certification within 1 year of hire.
• Experience with animal care regulations and humane research practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day CMS animal facilities operations and equipment upkeep.
• Supervise 16–21 animal care staff and implement CMS policies.
• Develop SOPs for animal care, sanitation, and facility operations.
• Provide training and ensure regulatory compliance for staff.
