Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Madison, WI is seeking a supervisor to lead scientific and operational staff in method development/validation and data review, ensuring compliance with SOPs and ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

You will oversee scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, coordinate instrument maintenance, and support client reporting while maintaining a safe, efficient laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years related experience and 1+ years leadership experience.
• Knowledge of appropriate regulatory agency guidelines.
• Working knowledge of laboratory operations and lab/compute software systems.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new tasks and think critically.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility.
• May assume responsibilities of Site Operations in the absence of the Site Operations Head.
• Schedules staff and assigns resources.
• Identifies resource needs and coordinates installation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and space.
• Reviews data and prepares technical reports for clients.
• Reviews cost estimates and provides revenue/forecast information to Eurofins staff.
• Ensures staff compliance to SOPs and guidelines.
• Develops training plans and ensures staff are trained.
• Develops expertise in operation and maintenance of complex equipment or software.
• Performs HR responsibilities including recruitment and evaluations.
• Identifies process improvements and implements action plans.
• Acts as front line contact for internal/external clients.
• Maintains a clean and safe laboratory environment.
• Conducts activities in a safe, efficient manner.
