Job Description

Responsible for:

  1. Performing sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA 88), OSHA, the Georgia Department of Community Health, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  2. Performing venipunctures and obtaining/preparing blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures.
  3. Assisting technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Required: High School graduate or GED
  • Minimum Experience Required: None
  • Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: None
  • Additional Qualifications: Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency is preferred. Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy and clinical laboratory processes is preferred. Experience in performing EKGs and working in healthcare or clinical laboratory settings is preferred.
