Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in food service, culinary programs, or cooking preferred.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• TB test and drug screening (on-site) and pre-employment physical (off-site)
• CPR, First Aid, CBRF Fire Safety, and Choking training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in a large-scale kitchen environment.
• Lead kitchen operations and assist in supervising kitchen staff and resident prep workers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food ordering, inventory, stocking, and meal preparation.
• Support and coach residents while promoting accountability and program expectations.
• Collaborate with staff to provide quality food service and support special events.
• Maintain daily shift logs and work as part of a team.
