Job summary

HOODZ is seeking a hands-on Lead Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician (Shift Lead) to mentor a senior crew, manage job sites, and deliver high‑quality kitchen exhaust cleaning services. You will lead from kitchen to rooftop, keeping systems clean, safe, and compliant.

You will supervise a team on client sites, drive to locations, and ensure work meets HOODZ and NFPA 96 standards while maintaining productivity and strong customer communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen exhaust cleaning or related field experience.
• Previous leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work Sunday–Thursday (day and overnight shifts).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and confined spaces.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of technicians on assigned job sites.
• Drive company vehicles to and from client locations.
• Load/unload materials and supplies.
• Set up and break down job sites according to company standards.
• Perform and oversee cleaning of kitchen exhaust systems (hoods, ducts, fans).
• Set up, operate and maintain power washer systems.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and meets HOODZ standards and NFPA 96 compliance requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers when needed.
• Manage crew productivity and maintain efficient job completion times.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and service vehicles.
• Ensure team accountability for final results and job quality by inspecting completed work before leaving site.
• Complete job reports, photos, and required documentation
