Job summary

Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn North is hiring a skilled Lead Cabinet Installer and Finish Carpenter to join our growing team. We offer year-round residential kitchen projects throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, organized project support and the opportunity to take ownership of your installations.

This lead-level role requires professional kitchen cabinet installation experience and does not accept entry-level carpentry expectations. Helpers may be led on-site and full-time W-2 employment is provided.

Qualifications

Three years of professional kitchen cabinet installation experience.
Strong finish carpentry and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read cabinet plans, elevations and installation drawings.

Responsibilities

Install complete residential kitchens from plans and elevations.
Install framed and frameless cabinetry.
Lay out cabinetry and ensure level, plumb, square and properly aligned.
Install fillers, finished panels, scribes, toe kicks, crown moulding and decorative trim.
Perform cabinet refacing and cabinet modifications when required.
Install handles, hinges, pull-outs and cabinet accessories.
Lead a helper or second installer when assigned.
Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, organized job site.
Communicate daily progress to the project coordinator.
Complete final adjustments and punch-list work to a high standard.
