Job summary

Albemarle County Public Schools seeks an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach (Head JV) at Monticello High School. This is a part-time, temporary position with a coaching stipend.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
• Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes
• Personal skills reflecting positive relations with students, parents and community
• Extensive knowledge of principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports
• Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules
• Ability to develop discipline emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
• Previous coaching experience required
• Preference for Virginia teaching license or eligibility
• State law requires disclosure of prior convictions beyond minor offenses
• Information provided may be verified by work history, references or criminal checks

Responsibilities

• Duties typically performed in school settings including gym and recreational areas.
• Regular travel with student-athletes to and from matches; after-school and weekend hours.
• Regular contact with coaches, administrators, parents and the media; instruction to student-athletes.
