Kelly is seeking a Lead Accountant, Joint Venture Accounting to join our energy client in Houston, Texas. This 6-month contract role will lead JV accounting operations, reporting, and compliance, with exposure to senior leadership and external partners.

You will coordinate cash calls, prepare monthly statements and reconciliations, ensure SOX compliance, and support regulatory filings such as FERC Forms 2 and 3, while driving process improvements and team development.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 6+ years of related accounting experience; energy/joint venture background is a plus.
• CPA license is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, schedules, and joint venture billings.
• Coordinate cash management, including partner cash calls and distributions.
• Prepare reconciliations, variance analyses, and budgets for internal management and joint ventures.
• Prepare and review FERC Form 2 and Form 3 regulatory reports.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Legal, and external JV partners and auditors.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to JV agreements.
• Respond to ad hoc inquiries and provide guidance to analysts.
