Job summary

We Power America in Syracuse, NY is seeking experienced electricians to join our team on high-profile commercial and industrial projects. Open roles emphasize foreman and supervisory Journeyman electricians who can lead crews and ensure quality work.

Selected candidates will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, follow safety codes, and collaborate with engineers and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical issues.
• Adherence to local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for installations.
• Upgrading and modifying electrical systems as needed.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols including lockout/tagout.
• Collaboration with other contractors, engineers and teams to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, motors, and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using tools and techniques to resolve problems.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Read blueprints and schematics to plan installations and upgrades.
• Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to meet new requirements.
• Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
• Provide on-call electrical support for emergencies.
