Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Lead Java/Kotlin/AI Engineer to architect, build, and scale advanced AI systems for a global ecommerce platform. This role combines hands‑on engineering with strategic leadership across multiple teams, platforms, and services.

You will define technical direction for Generative AI initiatives, drive production readiness, and mentor engineers while delivering high‑impact AI solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, ML engineering, or related roles.
• 3+ years of leading complex technical initiatives across teams.
• Hands‑on engineering with ability to design and implement production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, development, and optimization of scalable AI systems.
• Serve as technical owner for high‑impact AI initiatives across services and teams.
• Design and build agent‑led experiences and backend systems leveraging memory, tool use, and multi‑agent coordination.
• Translate business opportunities into technical strategies, plans, milestones, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Drive architectural decisions for AI products ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Contribute to complex implementation work across backend services, AI orchestration, and data pipelines.
