Job summary

Trigyn Technologies, Inc. in Albany, NY, has an immediate need for a Lead Java/J2EE Developer to drive the Tax Modernization effort and provide ongoing support for maintenance activities.

The role focuses on leading development teams, translating business requirements into automated applications, and delivering robust Java EE solutions using J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC, along with unit testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience across all facets of software development lifecycle (research, design, programming, testing, deployment).
• Ability to work independently and guide others; advanced education may be present.
• 72 months experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP and XML.
• 60 months experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ.
• 72 months experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
• 60 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts.
• 36 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.
• 36 months of experience developing with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• 12 months of experience with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) or open-source BRMS.

Responsibilities

• Obtain business requirements to develop automated applications which meet business priorities.
• Provide lead programming duties for tax related applications.
• Develop and mentor staff using various technologies including J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC.
• Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirement including detail specifications documents.
• Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
• Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
• Coordinate the migration of all code changes from development environment into user test environment.
• Assist team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery.
• Provide support for defects and issue resolution; address defects promptly based on priority.
• Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and customers.
• Communicate both verbally and in writing, with management and users, ITS management, and team members.

• 60 months experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDE’s, such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ.
