Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive design, development and delivery of Java/Spring Boot microservices. You will own REST APIs, containers, and cloud-native pipelines in a fast-moving, compliant environment.

Responsibilities include designing scalable systems, performing code reviews, and collaborating across teams to ensure reliability and performance. This role requires 3+ days on-site at a U.S. Bank location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6–8 years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, containers, and cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain products.
• Own full stack development and ensure production readiness.
• Adhere to architectural best practices for scalability and performance.
• Analyze failures and propose design improvements.
• Review code for engineering best practices and security.
