Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking engineers proficient at the intersection of Java and data, with emphasis on MongoDB-driven architectures and secure access control. You will contribute to greenfield and legacy migrations, building production services and data pipelines within a cloud-native, multi-team context.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on Java, API design, and experience in data-intensive systems, with strong collaboration and communication skills for client-facing delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java and data-intensive systems experience.
• Experience with scalable API design and documentation.
• Proven ability to model access control and data security.
• Comfort working across cloud-native deployments and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design high- and low-level architectures and governance artifacts.
• Build production Java services and RESTful APIs, documented via OpenAPI.
• Model MongoDB document schemas, pipelines, indexing and sharding.
• Develop data pipelines, CDC/streaming, and scalable ETL processes.
• Implement access control, encryption, and tamper-evident audits.
• Collaborate with client teams and multi-vendor partners; write design docs.
