Java/J2EE Developer with MongoDB Experience

The position is full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Design and planning of architecture to support project goals.
• Develop large‑scale complex applications deployed to a distributed architecture.
• Assist development teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Design highly scalable databases and develop applications against a relational database.
• Utilize expert knowledge of J2EE and Java development to troubleshoot technical issues (error messages, software bugs, performance).
• Communicate proactively with the development, QA teams, and management to anticipate configuration management issues/process and project issues.
• Seek opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes.
• Ensure that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or 8 years of additional relevant technical management experience may be substituted for education).
• 5+ years experience analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions using J2EE technologies or related technologies.
• 8-10 years experience with multiple programming technologies, including Java, XML/XSLT/WSDL, Spring/Hibernate, Web Services.
• Strong skills designing highly scalable databases and developing applications against a relational database.
• Hands‑on experience developing message‑oriented integration solutions with Java.
• Key technical experience in areas such as J2EE, XML, Web Services, and SOA.
• Experience with testing tools and techniques such as JUnit, Cucumber.
• Experience with NoSQL database stores such such as MongoDB is strongly desired.
• Thorough understanding of Scrum/Agile.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven team player.
