Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced Lead Java Developer to spearhead our engineering team, delivering high-impact SAP BTP/CAP-based services within the SAP Business Network.

You will guide a hands-on development team through ideation, design, prototyping, delivery, and iterative improvement, collaborating with the Team Architect and Product Manager to translate roadmap features into scalable technical designs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Leadership experience in technology teams.
• Backend development with Java and REST/CXF.
• Experience with SAP BTP/CAP, SAPUI5, OData.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-time features per specs and milestones.
• Lead backend development with Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, CAP.
• Contribute to requirements reviews, design, peer reviews.
• Implement automated tests and test plans.
• Troubleshoot defects and issues within SLAs.
