This role is for a Lead Java Developer with strong Spring Boot expertise, focusing on an onsite project for NYL GBS. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of robust APIs and microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of APIs using REST and GraphQL.
• Define API standards and best practices, ensuring consistency across various services.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, conduct thorough code reviews, and drive overall engineering excellence.
• Design and implement scalable and high-performance microservices, with a strong emphasis on API security, monitoring, and availability.
• Support development tasks across all layers of the application architecture, including strong database querying skills (e.g., SQL).

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with REST and GraphQL API development.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, and MSK Kafka.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Technical expertise in architectural principles and design aspects of various application and DBMS concepts.
• Deep experience in specific tech stacks used for developing solutions and capabilities.
• Lengthy experience as a full stack developer.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of Agile principles.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in developing batch jobs using Spring Batch for data processing and integration.
