Insight Global is seeking a Lead Java Developer for a remote role supporting a higher education focused client. You will lead hands-on development across full stack, design, debug, optimize, and own user stories from inception to completion in an Agile setting.

You will mentor others while remaining deeply involved in coding, ensuring code quality and performance. Strong Java, Spring/Hibernate, and AWS experience are required, with excellent communication across time zones.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or master's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years building multi-tier, enterprise web apps.
• Strong Java 8+ and full-stack experience across front-end/back-end.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate and Maven; RESTful APIs & Web Services.
• Front-end with TS/JS, jQuery, CSS; strong SQL Server skills.
• Eclipse IDE, Agile/Scrum with JIRA or Azure DevOps; version control.
• Ability to guide others, stay hands-on, and maintain standards.
• Excellent communication across time zones; secure, multi-tenant SaaS exp.
• Experience with AWS and serverless technologies; CI/CD with Bamboo or Azure DevOps.

Job Description

A higher education focused consulting client of Insight Global is seeking a Lead Java Developer to join their team. This individual will serve in a hands-on technical leadership role and contribute throughout the full application development lifecycle. They will be responsible for designing, developing, debugging, optimizing, unit testing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of enterprise web applications. In this role, the Lead Java Developer will take ownership of user stories from inception through completion while partnering with other team members to solve complex technical problems. This individual will play a key role in maintaining code quality and application performance through code reviews, development best practices, troubleshooting, and identifying and implementing performance improvements. They will also help provide technical guidance to others while remaining highly involved in hands-on development. The ideal candidate is a strong Java engineer who can quickly understand existing code, independently work through complex requests, and thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment with multiple applications and priorities

This is a remote opportunity with a collaborative and fast-paced team environment. The pay rate for this role will vary depending on experience, location, and skillset and will range from 27-36 LAKH.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 9+ years of software engineering experience building multi-tier, enterprise web applications
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java 8- Full stack development experience across both front-end and back-end application components
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks, and Maven
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and Web Services
• Front-end development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
• Strong experience with SQL Server, including writing complex database objects
• Experience using Eclipse IDE for software development and application deployment
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, TFS, or Subversion
• Ability to review existing code, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain development standards
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and direction to other developers while remaining hands-on with development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with flexibility to collaborate across international time zones
• Experience developing secure, multi-tenant SaaS web applications
• Experience with AWS and serverless cloud technologies
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and/or Azure DevOps
• Experience with AI-assisted software development, including using AI to support planning, requirements and code analysis, development, testing, and bug resolution
