Job summary

PTR Global in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise Java applications. You will develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, collaborate with business analysts, QA, and fellow developers to deliver new features, and ensure high performance and reliability of the systems.

Ideal candidates will have strong Java 8/11+ experience, solid SQL skills, and familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• Location must be local to Charlotte, NC and hybrid work schedule.
• Must be able to work directly on our W2 (no C2C or third-party agencies).
• Strong Java experience (8/11+) in enterprise contexts, with Spring Boot, MVC, Data.
• Proficient in RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases and writing complex queries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code within enterprise-level architectures.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices (Spring Boot).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (business analysts, QA, and other developers) to define and deliver new features.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and resolving technical issues in production and non-production environments.

Required Qualifications

• Location: Must be local to the Charlotte, NC area and comfortable working on a hybrid schedule.
• Work Authorization: Must be able to work directly on our W2 (No C2C, no 3rd party agencies).
• Technical Stack:
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11+) and enterprise ecosystems.
• Deep experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).
• Solid understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL) and writing complex queries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience within the financial services or banking domain.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of Kafka, Docker, or Kubernetes.
