Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience with extensive Java/Spring
• Recent experience with a banking client

• Cloud technologies and modernizing legacy banking apps to cloud-native
• Experience in commercial banking or lending (origination, servicing, underwriting, payments)

Responsibilities

• Architect and build enterprise banking applications using Java/Spring from architecture through testing and deployment

• Set architecture and coding standards; define engineering best practices
• Modernize legacy banking applications to cloud-native environments

Job Description:

We need a senior, hands-on Java technical lead to design, build, and modernize enterprise banking applications. You'll architect and deliver mission-critical platforms across commercial banking, commercial lending, digital banking, payments, and customer servicing. You'll lead a development team while contributing directly to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, high-performing solutions.

What you'll do

• Architect and build: Lead the design and development of enterprise-scale banking applications using Java and Spring, from architecture through testing and deployment.
• Design for scale: Build secure, highly available systems for banking and lending operations, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions.
• Set standards: Define application architecture, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Modernize: Move legacy banking applications to cloud-native environments.
• Deliver banking solutions: Build applications for commercial loan origination, loan servicing, credit underwriting, customer onboarding, risk management, treasury management, digital banking, payment processing, and CRM.
• Integrate: Connect applications with core banking platforms and third-party financial systems, and support the end-to-end loan lifecycle from application through servicing.
• Lead the team: Mentor developers, run code and architecture reviews, and guide system design, scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate: Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and QA.

Must have:
