Must Have Skills

• Advanced SQL expertise — writing, optimizing, refactoring stored procedures and complex queries for large data sets.
• Data service/middleware layer experience — building consumable services from raw/processed data (not traditional data engineering or data science).
• Translating SQL to application logic — ability to read existing SQL procedures, understand business logic and implement equivalent logic in Java services.
• On-shore lead + cross-team coordination — working directly with product management, tech leads, and bridging on-shore/offshore teams.
• Strong communication and leadership in a technical role — mentoring developers, reviewing code, keeping development moving and aligned with business needs.
