Position Overview:

National Cleaning Company with a locally owned franchise has an opening for a cleaning technician in Havelock, NC. This is a five-day-a-week position, Monday through Friday, from 1 pm to 7 pm as a day porter. Cleaning occurs during business hours while employees are present.

Requirements:

• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and trustworthy
• Must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at the account

• Must respond professionally to feedback from management and customers
• Prior cleaning experience preferred
• Driver's license preferred

Job Responsibilities:

This role involves creating cleaner, healthier environments by performing duties such as:

• Cleaning facilities with provided products, tools, and procedures
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, window cleaning, dusting
• Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment
• Using proper PPE as required
• Managing facility access, security system activation/deactivation

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching (up to 100%)
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses
• 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required
• Willingness to learn with on-the-job training
• Flexibility and ability to work quickly in a multi-tasked environment
• Positive attitude contributing to a good work climate
• Dependability, punctuality, and proper uniform adherence
• Respectful and courteous towards co-workers and customers
