Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to ensure facility operations comply with policies and procedures at a Conyers, GA site. You will delegate tasks, supervise staff when the Manager isn't present, and guide daily operations to keep buildings safe and clean for workers and customers.

The role involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards as directed.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field staff and management.
• Assist with creating daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Manage keys and access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken, or out-of-service items.
• Oversee additional service requests and tag jobs as needed.
• Ensure quality of jobs and confirm completion with Area Manager.
• Provide training for new hires in onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor staff.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Lead to ensure all facility operations follow policies and procedures. They coordinate daily operations by delegating job assignments and providing guidance. A Lead provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The Shift Leader demonstrates established standards to keep the buildings/facilities clean and safe for all workers and customers. This role involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed.

Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required

Preferred

• 1 year of similar work experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
• Valid Driver's license
