Job summary

GDI Services Inc US is seeking a Lead Janitor to supervise cleaning staff across shifts, ensure tasks are completed safely and to quality standards. The role focuses on efficient cleaning, safety adherence, and smooth operation support.

You will coordinate daily duties, train new staff, respond to spills, and maintain a clean, organized workplace. Strong communication and reliability are essential to meet client expectations and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, industrial cleaning, or sanitation experience required.
• Strong communications and organized skills.
• Ability to work with other crew members
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise janitorial staff during assigned shifts.
• Assigned daily tasks and monitor work quality and completion.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of floors, walls, equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and production areas.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and company sanitation procedures.
• Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance standards are met.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures
• Support emergency cleanups, spills, and special projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Assist with training and cross-training employees as needed
• Other assigned duties to support operation needs
