Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco, CA is seeking a lead ITGC and SOX controls professional to own the design and monitoring of IT general controls across engineering systems and infrastructure. You will partner with Internal Audit and engineering to define requirements, evidence, and acceptance criteria, and drive continuous assurance for SOX 404 readiness at a fast-growing AI company.

Strong programming fluency in Python or systems languages is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong programming fluency in at least one modern language (Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++).
• Experience with ITGC/SOX controls and security compliance in a tech environment.
• Excellent collaboration with Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit, and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Define control requirements and acceptance criteria across core ITGC domains for SOX in-scope systems.
• Set the bar for in-scope systems with auditability, segregation of duties, change control, and evidence retention.
• Pressure-test changes for SOX impact during design and assess modifications before go-live.
• Own continuous controls monitoring and automated evidence collection for ITGCs.
• Remediate control deficiencies with cross-functional partners and verify remediation effectiveness.
• Assess scope changes and provide technical/compliance impact analyses for SOX.
