Job summary

McKesson is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent IT projects across the full lifecycle, from planning to closing. You will define project scope with stakeholders, develop detailed plans, and guide teams through delivery using SAFe Agile and hybrid methods.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of IT project management experience, PMP/Prince2 certification preferred, and a track record of enterprise software implementations and integrations in healthcare environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, business administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT project management experience.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification highly preferred.
  • SAFe 6.0 Senior Scrum Master or RTE certification preferred.
  • Delivery in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience with enterprise software implementations, infra upgrades, or system integrations.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Jira and Smartsheet.
  • Healthcare/medical-surgical industry experience is a plus.

  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes and tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between IT teams, business units, and external vendors.

  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Typically require 10+ years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2) highly preferred.

  • SAFe 6.0 Senior Scrum Master or RTE Certification highly preferred.

  • Delivery in multi-mode methodology is required (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving enterprise-level software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, or system integrations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience in the healthcare or medical-surgical industry is a plus.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$138,800 - $231,300

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
