Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Lead IT Auditor for the FedCash Audit Team in San Francisco. You will participate in and lead internal assurance work; plan, document, and report audit results to determine control effectiveness and risk management.

You will build relationships, communicate findings, and mentor staff while pursuing a long-term internal audit career with education and career development. This onsite role supports central bank operations and cash services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• CIA or CISA certification within 24 months of placement.
• Five or more years of experience as an internal auditor.
• Strong audit communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
• Knowledge of IT controls and data analytics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with IPPF and COSO ERM frameworks.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15%.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review audit work and guide auditors to ensure quality.
• Define risk-based audit scope and objectives for district audits; manage time frames and budgets.
• Execute audit programs and assess IT governance, controls, and operational integrity.
• Identify and challenge audit exceptions and present clear recommendations to management.
• Prepare written audit reports and verify corrective actions from previous findings.
• Maintain knowledge of liaison areas, develop audit programs, and perform risk assessments.
