Lead, IT Applications - Marketing Technology
Provide hands‑on technical leadership for the implementation of Ross’s Marketing Technology ecosystem. Collaborate with business management, IT teams, and vendor teams to deliver solutions that support the desired roadmap and enable continuous growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead activities that deliver new capabilities and drive value from existing Marketing and Customer Analytics platforms.
- Translate business requirements, solution architecture and design documents into technical requirements and actionable tasks for development teams.
- Recommend, design and oversee the development of application solutions; enforce architectural standards and ensure enterprise architectural integrity.
- Act as the technical resource across multiple platforms; review code, configuration, integration workflows, and data pipelines to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Guide the team on integrating application components for moderate to highly complex projects; ensure seamless integration between retail systems, marketing and analytics platforms.
- Oversee configuration and customization of MarTech platforms; validate that designs match functional specifications.
- Work closely with vendor technical teams and system integrators; review deliverables, resolve issues, and serve as the primary technical escalation point.
- Drive adherence to approved architecture, data security, compliance (GDPR/CCPA) and enterprise IT standards.
- Support test execution across unit, end‑to‑end, integration, performance, operational readiness and user acceptance phases.
- Support the creation of implementation deliverables: training plan, training schedule, job aids, transition support.
- Support deployment pipelines, release and deployment plans with all stakeholders.
- Advise, review, and drive the creation of project status reports.
- Identify and design solutions for automation, optimization and innovation.
- Mentor internal developers and offshore teams to build technical capability.
- Support operations to resolve incidents in production; collaborate with vendors on enhancements and issue resolution.
Compensation
Base salary range: $109,900 – $187,450. The range is determined by experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority and location. Total compensation includes other rewards that vary by position and location.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7‑10 years of IT experience, with at least 4+ years in IT lead roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience with marketing technologies and related platforms.
- Proven track record leading technical application projects.
- Experience in data integration/APIs, data pipelines/ETL, and customer analytics solutions.
- Solid knowledge of source code management, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud/SaaS development.
- Good understanding of project management discipline.
- Solid knowledge of data privacy, security, and consent management principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
- Experience managing vendor deliverables and global development teams.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Preferred certifications: SAFe/Agile, Marketing platforms, Privacy.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in‑person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files. Requires consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision: ability to see information in print and/or electronically. Role allows a combination of in‑office and remote work.
