Job summary

Geon Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a government program, ensuring information assurance across the system lifecycle. The role emphasizes policy enforcement, security operations, risk assessment, and documentation such as SSPs and C&A packages.

Qualified candidates will have 1–6 years ISSO experience, DoD 8570 IAM Level I+, and active TS/SCI with poly. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with salary transparency provided for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher is required.
• 4 years ISSO experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program.
• Assist with management of security aspects and day-to-day security operations.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis for certification and accreditation.
• Provide configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Manage changes to system and assess security impact.
• Prepare and review SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
• Support security authorization activities per NIST RM.
