Job summary

OneZero Solutions, LLC seeks a Subject Matter Expert III - Information Systems Security Engineer in Arlington, VA (or Mechanicsburg, PA). The role leads security engineering across AWS, automation, and compliance, translating RMF/NIST controls into automated, operable code.

The candidate will design, build, and sustain a layered security automation architecture, provide dashboard and API support (Power BI, RESTful APIs), and guide DoD-regulated deployments with a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• AWS DevOps, Solutions Architect, Security or CISSP concentration strongly preferred (ISSEP/ISSAP).
• Twelve (12) years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering and cybersecurity with focus on security automation and cloud architecture.
• Five (5) years leading enterprise-level projects as a technical authority translating RMF/NIST into automated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISSE design and integration of cybersecurity on systems and networks.
• Design, build, and maintain layered security automation architecture.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates for secure provisioning.
• Implement AWS Systems Manager and secure configurations.
• Implement Policy-as-Code for compliance validation.
• Deliver orchestration to coordinate multi-step security workflows.
• Develop and manage Compliance-as-Code framework.
• Integrate AWS-native security services for continuous monitoring.
