Job summary

City of Maitland is seeking a lead irrigation technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex irrigation systems and their components. The role includes directing a work crew and ensuring operation of water distribution equipment under the Public Works Director’s oversight.

This position is designated as emergency/disaster work; employees may be called to serve during hurricanes or other crises and must be ready to report to work as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two+ years in irrigation field with installation, repair, and maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and direction to assigned personnel.
• Maintain all phases of irrigation systems and related components.
• Monitor systems, perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
